Q-Link Legacy 250cc "Cruiser"
When I first saw this bike I was immediately intrigued. Mostly because I could not see the motor. In the cycle world where the heart of the beast is the power plant why hide it unless it is a little disappointing. Now, I was not able to ride this bike but I did get the close-up inspection and a rider demonstration. Q-Link, according to one of the few sites I could find is a Chinese manufacturer with a US HQ in Grapevine, TX. So, I imagine I will soon see these clogging the limited bike parking on our campus.
Fit & finish are substandard even for a container import bike/scooter. This bike feels underpowered and a little fragile. A cruiser / scooter hybrid, this bike does not have the full benefit or charm of either biking category. 18 BHP for $3200? This one is definitely not for me.
For the money I would buy a used Vespa, Silver wing or Bergman. If an entry-level cruiser is more your style check out a Rebel, Virago or Eliminator. All available in a 250cc last time I looked. A brand new 2008 Ninja 250r is only about $200.00 more!
No matter what you buy be sure to consider dealer & factory support once you need service or repair.
